Selma, CA – Fatal Two-Car Accident Takes 1 Life on Hwy 99 near Floral Ave
Selma, CA (October 27, 2021) – On the afternoon of Monday, October 25, one man was killed in a two-car accident on Highway 99 near Floral Avenue.
Initial reports reveal that the fatal accident happened at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Highway 99 in the northbound lanes near Floral Avenue. Sources stated that a pickup truck collided with a stopped Hyundai on the highway.
The Hyundai pulled over to the median while the Ford F-250 attempted to slow down with the rest of the traffic. The truck driver swerved to the left in order to avoid other vehicles that were slowing down. While doing so, it drove into the median where it was involved in a rear-end crash with the Hyundai.
At this time, it remains unclear why the car was pulled over to the median and stopped. The driver of the Hyundai, identified as a male in his 20s, lost his life due to the injuries he sustained in the collision. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical professionals.
Police in Selma continue to investigate the details of the accident. Nothing further has been reported at this time.
