Modesto, CA – Fatal Three-Car Crash Takes 1 Life on Hwy 219 near Tully Rd
Modesto, CA (October 8, 2021) – One man has lost his life after his involvement in an auto accident in Stanislaus County in the early morning hours of October 7. The wreck was reported to authorities just after 4:00 a.m.
The man was identified as a 25-year-old Modesto resident who rear-ended another driver in his 1973 Datsun coupe early Thursday. Information from the California Highway Patrol states that officers responded to the scene along Highway 219 near the intersection with Tully Road to find three cars that had been involved in a collision.
The driver in the Datsun required immediate transportation to an area medical center due to the severity of his injuries. He was later pronounced deceased by medical professionals at the hospital. His name has not been released at this time.
The other two drivers involved did not sustain any injuries, according to reports. Investigators believe that one of the involved drivers was slowing down for a red light at the intersection when the Datsun, for unknown reasons, did not slow down and collided with the vehicle.
A third driver involved seems to have not noticed the other cars stopped in the roadway and collided with the Datsun. Police continue to investigate the details of the crash.
