Oakley, CA – One Dead Following Two-Car Accident on E. Cypress Rd
Oakley, CA (September 23, 2021) – East Contra Costa Fire Protection District crews were called to the scene of a fatal car accident on East Cypress Road in Oakley on Monday, September 20th.
Sources reported that the car accident took place at about 4:45 a.m. in the 2400 block of East Cypress Road.
Upon their arrival, Engine 53 of ECCFPD discovered a two-vehicle collision. One car had veered off the roadway and came to a stop on its side. The other was located in the roadway blocking the eastbound lane of traffic.
One person required emergency extrication.
According to the Oakley Police Department, one person sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Other individuals involved in the crash sustained non-critical injuries.
No other details have been released.
