Pedestrian Accidents in Bakersfield

Thousands of victims are sent to area hospitals with injuries each year due to traffic collisions in the state of California. Pedestrians, who travel on foot without a vehicle, are particularly vulnerable to the impact of other cars weighing several thousand pounds. As a result, many pedestrians sustain severe injuries such as traumatic head injuries, spinal cord injuries, broken bones, and internal organ damages after being injured in a traffic-related incident.

Many injured pedestrians require hospitalization and have to spend months going back and forth to treatment, therapy, and rehabilitation. Although we want to believe that everyone is able to recover from their injuries, this is not always the case. In fact, numerous victims are left permanently disabled from their injuries.

Despite the many treatment options available to victims, they often come at an extraordinary cost. Usually, car accidents are caused by the actions of other motorists who are acting negligently while behind the wheel. These accidents can include people texting or using cellphones while driving, drunk driving, speeding, ignoring traffic control devices, and engaging in unsafe driving behaviors.

When victims are harmed in accidents as a result of another driver’s negligence, it is crucial that they work with a pedestrian accident attorney in Bakersfield to protect their legal rights. Seeking legal guidance from a qualified team of attorneys can help to ensure you are able to move forward in the aftermath of their accidents in the best position possible to recover.
