Modesto, CA – Woman and Girl Struck by Car, Injured on W. Orangeburg Ave
Modesto, CA (September 16, 2021) – Two people were injured when they were struck by a car on West Orangeburg Avenue in Modesto on Monday, September 13th.
The accident took place at about 8:00 a.m. in the area of Garrison Elementary School.
Reports show that a 54-year-old woman was walking with her 8-year-old granddaughter and 7-year-old grandson. As they crossed northbound through the intersection inside of a crosswalk, the grandmother and her granddaughter were hit by a sedan driving eastbound.
The woman sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The girl was med flighted to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera in critical condition.
The boy that was with them was unharmed during the incident.
