Car accidents in the state of California happen frequently. Being one of the top three most populated states in the nation, the Golden State sees more car accidents than nearly any other state. Those involved in serious accidents often suffer serious and sometimes debilitating injuries. Depending on the severity of the wreck, victims can be affected by their injuries for days, weeks, or even years after their accidents occur. Some peoples’ lives are changed forever due to major car accidents.
Unfortunately, almost all of the car accidents that take place in the United States happen due to some form of driver negligence. Driver negligence comes in many forms, including fatigue, intoxication, and distraction. Currently, the leading type of distraction is cell phone usage, specifically texting or using social media behind the wheel. No matter how quickly you look at your phone, you could be putting yourself and others at risk for serious injury or even death.
