Stockton, CA – Girl & Grandmother Struck by Car, Injured on W Orangeburg Ave
Stockton, CA (September 13, 2021) – A girl and her grandmother were struck by a vehicle on the morning of Monday, September 13 while they were on their way to school. The 8-year-old girl and her 54-year-old grandmother were struck by a sedan at approximately 8:00 a.m. in Stockton.
The pair was utilizing the crosswalk on West Orangeburg Ave at the time of the crash. The girl suffered severe injuries and is currently in critical condition according to reports from police in Modesto.
The grandmother suffered injuries to her leg in the crash. She is currently being treated at an area hospital. The driver of the sedan, identified as a 21-year-old, is currently cooperating with police.
Intoxication did not appear to be a factor in the accident. Police in Stockton continue to investigate.
