Pedestrian Accidents in California
Thousands of people lose their lives each and every year to pedestrian accidents in the United States. According to recent statistics, more than 900 people lose their lives each year due to pedestrian accidents in California. Oftentimes, these fatal collisions are caused by drivers who choose to perform negligent actions while behind the wheel. Some of these actions include but are not limited to, driving while distracted, driving while impaired, or driving while overly fatigued.
Being involved in a serious collision has the potential to leave victims seriously or even catastrophically injured. Sometimes, and in worst-case scenarios, victims may even lose their lives due to the severity of their injuries. Due to the fact that pedestrians travel completely unprotected from other vehicles, the risk of them sustaining serious or debilitating injuries is higher than that of other travelers.
