Motorcycle Crashes in Bakersfield

Over 500 people lose their lives in motorcycle accidents in California each year. Additionally, 14,000 riders sustain injuries and are then left to deal with pain and suffering that can be overwhelming. Motorcycle riders are fully exposed in a crash, which greatly increases their odds of sustaining traumatic injuries such as brain injuries, broken bones, and crippling spinal cord injuries. Injuries of this magnitude always require expensive, extensive medical treatment. To further complicate things, injured riders are usually physically unable to return to work for months or even years depending on the time it takes them to recover.

If you or someone you love has been injured in a motorcycle accident, you will most likely be approached by insurance adjusters who seem to be on your side, but who really just want to get you to accept a meager settlement offer as quickly as possible. Accepting a settlement from an insurance carrier is most likely not in your best interest. Normally, insurance companies will offer crash victims the minimum amount of financial compensation available to collision victims. This is a way to get them to sign over their legal rights toward pursuing additional damages.

Once they sign, the victim is then prevented from continuing to seek the monetary compensation they need for lost income, medical care, and the numerous other costs they will probably face from their accidents. Instead, it is crucial to reach out to a motorcycle accident attorney in California as soon as possible. You may have options available to help you move forward after being harmed in an accident.
