Bakersfield, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Collision on Airport Drive near Castaic Ave Takes One Life
Bakersfield, CA (July 4, 2021) – One person lost their life in an early morning crash on Saturday, July 3 in Bakersfield. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m., according to reports.
Information provided by officials stated that the collision happened in Oildale when an SUV was traveling south on Airport Drive. A pedestrian was crossing the road at the intersection with Castaic at the same time the SUV was passing through.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics. No one involved in the crash has been identified to the public at this time.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. The site of the wreck was active with responders for an extended period of time on the morning of July 3 which caused traffic delays in the area.
