Pedestrian Accidents in Bakersfield
Every year, around 6,000 pedestrians lose their lives in traffic-related incidents throughout the United States. Roughly 15% of fatal pedestrian accidents happen right here in California. Although our lawmakers consistently work to protect pedestrians while sharing roads with drivers, they continue to be victimized daily. In many cases, pedestrians are struck by vehicles operated by distracted, impaired, and reckless drivers. Although we can be vigilant to protect others who are sharing the road, there is no guarantee that other motorists are going to take us into consideration while driving.
Any vehicle collision has the potential to cause catastrophic injuries for those involved. Pedestrians involved in accidents are at a heightened risk of suffering injuries given the fact that they are unprotected against the force of vehicles.
