Los Angeles, CA – Pedestrian Struck & Killed by Vehicle on S Central Ave
Los Angeles, CA (Aug. 1, 2020) – A pedestrian accident reported early Saturday morning in Los Angeles claimed one person’s life. At around 12:30 a.m., on August 1, the Los Angeles Police Department and medical personnel responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident in Green Meadows.
Reports provided by authorities show that a pedestrian was walking in the 8900 block of South Central Avenue, near the intersection with 90th Street, when they were struck by a car. Police arrived at the scene and located the critically injured pedestrian lying in the northbound lane of South Central Avenue. The vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene.
Emergency personnel was unable to perform life-saving measures on the victim and they pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. No one else involved in the crash was injured. An investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway at this time.
